The 2020/21 home and away set that pays tribute to the rich heritage of the club has been unveiled by Kaizer Chiefs and Nike.
The home jersey draws influence from Kaizer Motaung, the club’s symbol and founder. In order to represent the Bataung clan name, the jersey integrates a lion’s mane into the design.
With gold trim around the neckline and sleeves, the away jersey is striking electric blue to reflect the club’s popularity in African football. The jersey collar is also influenced by the lion’s mane that you find on the jersey at home.
For female fans, Kaizer Chiefs and Nike have once again added a slim-fit ladies’ cut. In the home jersey, the ladies’ version will only be available.
Both jerseys are constructed using Dri-Fit technology from Nike that helps cool down athletes during play by wicking sweat. The jerseys are made with 100 percent recycled polyester fabric, obtained from recycled plastic bottles, keeping with Nike’s commitment to sustainability.
Other retail items, including tracksuits, training tops, and a polo shirt, also make up the range. The latest collection will be available from the KC DigiStore, Nike.com as well as all leading retail outlets in South Africa from Monday, 28 September.
